Smalling illness shocks Man Utd

Man Utd defender Chris Smalling has been diagnosed with glandular fever and could be sidelined for at least three months. The 22-year old will join the long list of United players who are either injured or ill.

The condition is more serious than a heavy cold, he has flu-like symptoms and fatigue. Physios comment that it would take two months to be back in shape, however, to play a full game it would take another month.
