Premier League move not an option for Lampard
Premier League move not an option for Lampard
Chelsea have reportedly told midfielder Frank Lampard that he is free to leave the club for a move to another country, but the Blues will not consider any offers from rival Premier League sides.
Manchester United were last week linked with a move for the England international, but Sir Alex Ferguson rejected talk of a move for the midfielder. Lampard has fallen out of favour at the Blues as coach Andre Villas-Boas has recently assigned the midfielder to a place on the bench instead of in the first team.
Lampard earns a massive 150,000 GBP per week at Stamford Bridge and Villas-Boas is ready to let the player leave, despite having 18 months left on his current deal.
The Blues are expecting a busy few weeks, with Nicolas Anelka already departed for China; and Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda and Alex also expected to quit.
