Tottenham monitor Leandro Bacuna

Tottenham have sent scouts to watch FC Groningen winger Leandro Bacuna in action. The highly rated midfielder has been playing wtih Groningen since breaking into the youth team, and is valued at around 4.5 million EUR.

Spurs have a vast scouting network across Europe, and Ian Broomfield the club's chief scout has been alerted to the young talent Bacuna in action.


The 20 year old has already broken into the Dutch youth international setup, and has been with the first team squad since 2009. 


Tottenham have been the first Premier League side to express an interest in the youngster, but in the Netherlands both Ajax and PSV Eindhoven have been amongst the sides keen on the player. 


Spurs are not expected to make an offer this month, but during the summer they are weighing up a bid for the Groningen starlet.
