Tottenham fail in massive Loic Remy offer
Tottenham have failed in their efforts to persuade Marseille to sell French international striker Loic Remy, with reports from France suggesting that Spurs bid a massive 20 million GBP for the talented striker.
Club manager Harry Redknapp has been monitoring Remy for some time, and with chariman Daniel Levy they made a huge offer for the striker yesterday.
However, the French club revealed that the offer for the forward has been turned down.
"In January, I had two deals to manage," Vincent Labrune told French newspaper L'Equipe. "That of Lucho [Gonzalez], who wanted to leave, and that of Remy, who Tottenham wanted to sign.
"I do not think any other president in France would have refused the enormous proposal the London club made."
