Arsenal admit interest in Younes Belhanda

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger today admitted that he is considering a move for Montpellier winger Younes Belhanda. The highly rated 22-year-old has been a star for the Ligue 1 title hopefuls this year, and is valued at around 15 million GBP.

The Moroccan international already has 12 caps to his name, and the Gunners' chief scout Steve Rowley has been watching the player in action this month.

In Ligue 1 this year, Belhanda has scored 7 goals in 20 games, whilst also contributing a further three assists to ensure that Montpellier remain in touch with big spending Paris St Germain at the top of the French top tier.

News that Arsenal are preparing a big money move for Belhanda are sure to be exciting for the 5 foot 9 midfielder.

"I know Younes well and like him a lot," Wenger said. "But I don't want to cause problems. Only Montpellier can decide where he goes."
