Maradona told Man City misfit Tevez to return

Argentina legend Diego Maradona revealed that he is partially responsible for the returning Carlos Tevez at Man City. Tevez played his first game for the Citizens since last September this week, as he setup Samir Nasri's late winner against Chelsea.

"I told Tevez three months ago that he had to talk with Mancini as soon as possible," Maradona revealed. "I said that because he was losing money - but also because he needed to play football again. I told Tevez, 'you must go back now'."


Last year, Roberto Mancini told the player that he would never play for City again, but surprisingly the duo rebuilt their bridges and is now available for City's late title charge.
