Cahill insists Chelsea have fight to finish 4th
Chelsea defender Gary Cahill wants his team to believe in themselves if they are to succeed and claim the fourth place spot that will guarantee a place in the Champions League qualifiers next season. The Blues battled to a 0-0 draw with rivals Tottenham at the weekend.
The England international centre back has enjoyed a run in the first team since Roberto Di Matteo took charge, and scored his first goal for the club over a week ago in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.
"We have to be confident. Our form of late's been good," said Cahill. "Obviously, we've got to win basically the majority of the games we've got left and we've got some tough games coming up. That's our target, that's what we're aiming for.
"Everyone was saying how a bad a season it was. But we we're in a quarter-final, we're in a semi-final and we've still got a chance to push for that fourth spot.
"So, it's going to be a massively important period coming up for us, the end of the season."
