Man City 4-0 West Brom

Man City 4-0 West Brom

Man City eased past West Brom keeping their title hopes alive. They are just five points away from league leaders Man United with five games to go.

Roberto Mancini's side played with great passion at the City of Manchester and created the goals that they badly needed. Sergio Aguero opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a low shot from outside the box. He doubled it in the early minutes of the second half, thanks to a sweet pass by Nasri.

Aguero was lively as ever with his great first touch and off the ball skills, he provided Carlos Tevez a sliding cross to help him score his first goal for City in eleven months. Tevez's return to form would be a great boost to Man City in their pursuit of the title.

The Argentine striker seemed to be in good touch and his lovely backheel flick in the first half found Silva in the box, however, the Spaniard's strike was parried away by an impressive Ben Foster. Tevez and Aguero combined well and exchanged passes with Silva, Man City attack looked sharper in the second half.

Silva scored City's fourth goal of the night with a cheeky chip after receiving a a through ball from Aguero. The Argetine striker was clearly the best footballer in the pitch and he proved that he was worth the £35million City spent on him.

The win against the Baggies take Man City close to league leaders United, however, they will have to keep winning matches and hope United will lose points on the way if they dream of winning the title.
