Arsenal monitor Nathaniel Clyne
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been closely tracking the progress of Southampton youngster Nathaniel Clyne. The 21-year-old defender only moved to St. Mary's last summer but is already attracting the interest of bigger clubs.
Crystal Palace sold Clyne to Southampton last summer and the defender has since become a first team regular at the club. The defender, born in Stockwell, could already be sold to accommodate new purchases for the January transfer window.
Arsene Wenger has already forged a close relationship with Southampton over the years, as he brought in the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott from the Southern club. The Frenchman would use his connections to thrash out a deal for the England under-21 international.
