West Ham eye defensive reinforcements
After watching his Hammers side slump to a miserable 3-0 defeat to Sunderland yesterday, West Ham manager Sam Allardyce admitted that he would be looking to find defensive reinforcements in the January transfer window.
The Hammers have already been busy this month, bringing in four new players, but so far have failed to find a suitable defensive player.
An injury to defender James Collins added insult to injury for Big Sam.
"He [Collins] has a hamstring injury and it’s a bitter blow to us,” said Allardyce.
“We might have to take a look at the market and see if there is someone who can help us on the defensive side.
“Watching our performance today in defence we were inept.”
