Man City scout Derby star Will Hughes
Manchester City assistant manager David Platt traveled to Brighton and Hove Albion to watch Derby County starlet Will Hughes in action, and the big spending Premier League side are ready to make a massive offer for the 17-year-old in the January transfer window.
The England youth international has gone from strength to strength since making his first appearance for the Rams in 2011, and this season two goals in 27 games have seen a number of Premier League clubs desperate to sign the youngster.
The 6 foot 1 midfielder has attracted interest from a number of clubs including Fulham, Stoke City, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham; but the interest of Roberto Mancini's men appears to be the most solid and an offer could be made in the transfer window.
