Liverpool insist Luis Suarez staying put
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers does not expect Luis Suarez to leave the club at the end of the season, even if the Reds are to miss out on Champions League football.
The Uruguayan has been a star in what has so far been a very mixed season. The former Ajax striker has proven himself at the top level in England, and his time here has not come without controversy, but it appears the striker will be staying at Anfield for the long haul.
Manchester City and Chelsea have both been linked with big money moves for the forward.
“Luis had a terrific season last season and he had an opportunity to leave, and probably would have had an excuse with a new manager coming in, but he didn’t. He committed to the club," said Rodgers.
“He sees the vision going forward, and he believes in that. He knows it won’t happen overnight. He has had a brilliant season with 20 goals until now, and hopefully there are many more to come.”
