Jose Mourinho confirms Chelsea appointment

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he will rejoin Chelsea this summer to become their new manager. Chelsea parted company with Rafa Benitez at the end of last season, whilst Real Madrid parted ways with Mourinho after a run of poor results.

Chelsea have long been linked with a move for Mourinho, but it has taken some time for the deal to be confirmed. According to many reports, Roman Abramovich had been locked in talks with the Portuguese manager discussing how the club will progress over the next five seasons.


"I'm going to London on Monday and at the end of the week I will be the manager of Chelsea," Mourinho told Punto Pelota. "I feel the people there love me and in life you have to look for that. Life is beautiful and short and you must look for what you think is best for you."
