The 19-year-old Schalke playmaker is said to be one of the primary targets for the Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho this summer.

A number of impressive performances in the Bundesliga has seen Draxler acquire his position as one of the hottest youth prospects in the German football. He scored 13 goals in all competitions for the Royal Blues last season.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is known to be a huge admirer of Draxler as he continues to set targets for his spending summer spree.

‘Which boy doesn’t dream about playing for Real, Barca, Chelsea or Manchester United? There is nothing to be ashamed of,’ said Draxler.

The German international, who recently penned a new deal at Schalke, has dismissed the speculation of a move to arch rivals Borussia Dortmund who see him as the perfect replacement for their latest departure Mario Gotze.

Schalke’s General Manager Horst Heldt insisted that the club have had no firm offers as yet for the young playmaker but admits this may change in the near future.

‘I’ve heard nothing about it,’ said Heldt relating to a bid by Chelsea. ‘There has been no official transfer inquiry from Chelsea. Still it’s a fact there are always clubs considering the qualities of players like Julian Draxler.’

It seems now for certain that Julian Draxler will soon be on his way out of Schalke to one of Europe’s top sides.
