Christian Atsu nears Liverpool move

Ghana international midfielder Christian Atsu is on the verge of becoming a Liverpool player this week, after a fee had been agreed with his club, Porto. The 21-year-old is due in England to discuss personal terms today.

The Porto man captured the attentions of Liverpool scouts last season after some impressive displays for the Portuguese side. Since then, the winger has enjoyed regular visits from some of Europe's biggest clubs who have been scouting the player with regards to a transfer signing.


Atsu is being lined up by Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers as a hot prospect for the future, with hopes that he will eventually force his way into the club's first team.
