Bayern Munich prepare a move for Chelseas David Luiz

The UEFA Champions league winners look set to make a move for the Stamford Bridge defender David Luiz, who is on the Allianz Arena side's wish-list. Bayern Munich are set to make a £35m bid for the defender according to the Daily Mirror.

The new Bayern manager Pep Guardiola has joined PSG in the race to capture the signature of the 26-year-old Brazilian who has not dismissed speculation on a possible switch away from the West London club which has led the Bundesliga champions to believe that they could tempt the Blues fan favourite to the Allianz Arena.

Guardiola will be looking forward to partnering David Luiz with fellow country compatriot Dante and an offer of high value could be considered by Chelsea amid reports that Jose Mourinho is not convinced of the defender's capability at the back and could accept a big offer inorder to facilitate incoming moves this summer.

David Luiz cost the Europa League champions Chelsea a fee in the region of £22m in the January winter transfer window in 2011 and the powerful and skillful defender has summed up 109 appearances and scored 12 goals since his move to the Premier League from Primeira Liga side Benfica, helping the club to Champions League, FA Cup and Europa League triumphs in the process.
