Everton star Fellaini's buyout clause expires August 14th
Marouane Fellaini's £23.5 million buyout clause will expire on August 14th. The caluse was negotiated into the Belgium international's last contract signed with Everton, and then manager David Moyes insisted that the clause expire on the set date.
That leaves Fellaini's potential move to a rival Premier League team in some doubt, as both Arsenal and Man Utd have yet to make an official bid for the attacking midfielder.
Everton officially value the player at £30 million and if no deal is agreed for the clause of £23.5 million prior to that date, teams hoping to bring the player to their club will have to stump up close to £30 million instead.
United manager David Moyes has been linked with a raid of his former club Everton as left back Leighton Baines has also been on Moyes' transfer shortlist.
