Liverpool and Crystal Palace fight for Piazon signature

Premier League clubs Liverpool and Crystal Palace are both in the race to sign Chelsea's young Brazilian midfielder Lucas Piazon on loan. Chelsea are eager to let Piazon leave on loan this season to garner more first team experience.

Piazon spent last season on loan at Spanish giants Malaga, but the La Liga side decided against taking up the option on a second year for the 19-year-old. Chelsea are now hoping to send the Brazilian under-17 international out on loan to an English team, with Crystal Palace believed to be in pole position to secure his signing.


The Sao Paulo born attacking midfielder is very highly rated at Stamford Bridge, but manager Jose Mourinho is ready to let him leave this season if his salary is paid in full by the team that takes him on loan.
