Crystal Palace, Stoke join race for Charlie Austin
Burnley striker Charlie Austin has been linked with a move to both Crystal Palace and Stoke; and are last minute entrants into the race for Austin's coveted signature. The forward has also attracted the interest of Nottingham Forest.
Forest were believed to be favourites to sign Austin, but in a last minute twist both Crystal Palace and Stoke have entered the race for the 24-year-old striker.
The 6 foot 2 forward has scored 41 goals in 82 games for Burnley and has been linked with a move away from his current club for several months. The former Swindon striker  has been lined up as a potential striking replacement for Michael Owen at Stoke whilst Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway is scouring Europe to find a new addition to his current crop of forwards.
