AC Milan Suffer Another Rejection For Keisuke Honda

A week ago, what was thought to be a done deal has taken another blow as CSKA Moscow have rejected the latest proposal from AC Milan for star midfielder Keisuke Honda.

According to a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri made a fresh attempt to secure the signing of the 27-year-old from the Russian outfit but CSKA Moscow are not willing to compromise on the transfer fee.

Reports in Italy suggest that vice-president Adriano Galliani offered to pay €3.5m for the classy playmaker but CSKA are looking to sell him for no less than €5million.

It is a known fact that Honda is willing to secure his move to San Siro as soon as possible. He also offered to take a pay-cut so that Milan could  increase their bid for him. Honda’s current deal expires in January, after which he will be available as a free agent.

It is understood that the talented midfielder has already agreed personal terms with Milan, but with CSKA not showing any flexibility in its stance, it is likely that Milan will have to come up with a much better offer to convince the Russian club.
