West Ham are currently interested in the services of Malmo winger Jiloan Hamad and could be in the reckoning for the player's signature.

The forward has had a good stint at the Swedish club and  is now ready to showcase his skills at a higher level. The Hammers manager Sam Allardyce is keen on adding another forward to the side as club record signing Andy Carroll is set to miss the start of the Premier League season with a heel injury.

Jiloan Hamad has made over 100 appearances for Swedish based club Malmo and negotiations over the sale of the 22-year-old to West Ham could be set to resume in the next few days.

Meanwhile Ivorian International Salomon Kalou has rejected a switch to Upton Park from French Ligue 1 side Lille as he could not be guaranteed a forward role at the London club.
