Angel Di Maria set to stay with Real Madrid

Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria has asserted that he will not leave the La Liga champions this summer. The Argentine International has been linked with a potential swap deal for Gareth Bale to North London outfit Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks.

However, the Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti  ruled out his departure this weekend, and now the player himself has stated of his desire to stay with the club.


"I'm staying at Madrid because I have three years left on my contract and I'm very happy here," he told reporters.

"Also, in [Ancelotti's] selection, I have been playing more frequently in the middle. I used to and I feel comfortable playing there."
