Arsenal poised to make a move for Palermo goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano?

Arsenal are set to make a move for Emiliano Viviano from Serie B outfit Palermo, as per the club's Director Giorgio Perinetti.

Arsene Wenger had expressed his desire to add more players to his squad following the club's 3-0 win over Fernerbahce at Istanbul on Wednesday night


The Gunners current number one Wojciech Szczesny has come under severe criticism from the fans for his persistent weak displays at the post and Arsene Wenger is reported to be looking at several options to solve the issue. 


Palermo Director Giorgio Perinetti has confirmed that an English club is looking to acquire the services of the shot stopper and negotiations are taking place to see if an agreement can be made.


Perinetti told Sport Italia : "There is an English path that exists for Viviano. "However, it all still needs to be verified. We will see over the next few days whether the transfer will be possible or not."
