Ramos: Berbatov can leave
Spurs boss Juande Ramos has said that he would allow Dimitar Berbatov to leave the club if he is unhappy at Tottenham. The player has thrown in some awful performances for the club, and could be set to leave after Man Utd are continuously linked with the Bulgarian.
Ramos wants a fully committed squad and the Spanish coach claimed he would not stand in Berbatov's way if he wants to go.
"I believe you can't force players to stay in the team if they don't want to," Ramos said.
"It is not good for the team or the player, so I wouldn't stand in anyone's way if they want to leave."
Berbatov, who is in the squad for Spurs's UEFA Cup clash against Hapoel Tel Aviv on Thursday, was criticised for appearing to refuse to warm-up when he was a substitute in his side's defeat at Newcastle recently.
Ramos insists Berbatov must give total commitment to the north London club.
"I think he is happy, but that is a question you need to ask him," Ramos added. "He is a Spurs player and he needs to help and support the team."
