Arsenal make formal transfer offer for Angel Di Maria?

The Gunners have reportedly made a formal transfer offer for Real Madrid's winger Angel Di Maria, according to Goal.com

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is yet to make a genuine top class signing this summer, in spite of reports suggesting that the North London outfit have a transfer kitty worth £70m to spend, during the current transfer window.

It is understood that the Emirates side have made a bid in the region of £25.6m for Argentine International Angel Di Maria, for which Real Madrid are yet to respond as their main focus lies on the signing of Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur.


However, Di Maria has stated of his desire to stay at the Bernabeu and honour his contract which expires in 2018.
