Cardiff City sign Maximiliano Amondarain
Cardiff City have have completed the signing of Maximiliano Amondarain from Uruguayan outfit CA Progreso.
The talented Uruguayan centre-back has joined the Bluebirds on a a four-year deal after impressing the Welsh side durig a trial earlier this summer.
Amondarain passed a medical at the newly promoted Premier League side on Friday and becomes manager Malky Mackay's sixth signing of the summer.
The Bluebirds have made their intentions of staying away from the relegation places clear this summer, having already signed the likes of Steven Caulker and Gary Medel at club record deals.
Amondarain represented Uruguay during the 2013 FIFA Under 20 World Cup held in Turkey, where they finished as runners-up.
