PSG to hold talks with Chelsea over Juan Mata

Ligue 1 reigning champions Paris Saint Germain are set to hold talks with Chelsea tonight over a possible transfer for Juan Mata to Parc des Princes.

The Spain midfielder's future at Stamford Bridge has been in doubt ever since new manager Jose Mourinho took over the managerial job. The former Valencia playmaker was rumored to be offered in a part exchange deal to Manchester United for the transfer of Wayne Rooney.


Despite Mourinho rejecting claims that Mata is on his way out, popular opinion is that the Portuguese doesn't consider him in his plans for the ongoing season.


Big spending Paris St Germain are considering making an offer to the Londoners for the highly rated Spain international while Arsenal are also believed to be interested in his signature.
