West Ham considering move for Ciprian Marica

West Ham United are reportedly considering the signing of Romanian International Ciprian Marica on a free transfer as their search for a new striker continues.
The former Schalke 04 striker was released from the Bundesliga outfit last season and was reportedly linked with a move to Arsenal earlier this summer.
The 27-year-old was monitored by West Ham scouts as he started the scoring in Romania's 3-0 win over Hungary last night and is considered the perfect player to provide back-up to the London side, according to The Express.
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is eager to add a few players to his attack front as Andy Caroll is still sidelined through injury.
An offer was made for former striker Carlton Cole to join the Hammers, but the forward has been asked to prove his fitness before considering a full-time contract.
