Juventus linked with January move for Christian Benteke

Juventus are reportedly set to make a transfer offer for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, as per Tuttosport.

The Serie A champions have had plenty of competition from the likes of Napoli and Roma during the early stages of the new campaign, and this has made manager Antonio Conte feel that his side needs an extra striker to challenge for the title this season. 

Spanish forward Fernando Llorente has struggled to make an impact with the Turin club since his move from Athletic Bilbao in the summer, and looks likely to make way from the club during the upcoming winter transfer window in January. 

The report claims that Juventus would have to pay a transfer fee in the region of £17m in order to acquire the signature of one of the top prospects in European football.
