Daniel Agger has no desire to leave Liverpool in the near future

Liverpool centre-back Daniel Agger has insisted that he has no desire to quit Liverpool in the near future and he is happy to see out the remainder of his contract in England.

Barcelona had been linked with a move for the Dane during the summer transfer window, but the Reds had no interest in selling their defender.



The 28-year-old has now insisted that he is happy to see out his contract with the Merseyside club, and he is not fazed by the competition for places at the club.

Daniel Agger has found himself on the bench in the last three league games for the Reds, with manager Brendan Rodgers happy to use summer signings Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho in the central defensive partnership.
