Manchester City club captain Vincent Kompany could be set to return to first team action this weekend, according to The Express.
The 27-year-old Belgian International missed his country's World Cup qualifiers against Croatia and Wales with a thigh strain that incurred during the Citizens' 3-1 win over Everton in their previous league encounter.
The centre-back is expected to be fit earlier than expected, having been initially ruled out for upto four weeks.
The Express reports that the defender could be in line to start Manchester City's encounter against West Ham United at Upton Park on Saturday.
