Former Arsenal defender William Gallas joins Australian outfit Perth Glory

Former Arsenal and Chelsea centre-back William Gallas has agreed a switch to Australian A-League side Perth Glory.
Gallas has been without a club since the end of last season, having been released by Tottenham Hotspur.
The French international was linked with a move to the MLS in recent weeks, but decided to join Perth Glory after weeks of negotiations.
"I look forward to wearing with pride the jersey of Perth Glory for this season," Gallas said.
"I hope to help my new teammates and club achieve success in this season and hope to help deliver to the fans of Perth the championship they are looking for.
"I look forward to this new challenge and hope to excite the fans."
Gallas is the latest high-profile signing to join the Australian A League, following the likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Shinji Ono, Harry Kewell and Emile Heskey.
