Chelsea and Man City battle for Blaise Matuidi signature

Chelsea and Man City will go head to head in the race to sign Paris St Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi. The 26-year-old Frenchman could be sold in the January transfer window.

Matuidi has been a regular at PSG since joining the club back in 2011, but it appears that his future could lie elsewhere as the player has instructed his agent to research the possibility of a move to a foreign league.


According the Daily Express, the player's agent is ready to open talks with any foreign club in January as his contract will expire in July next summer.


Both Chelsea and Man City are ready to offer the French international a 140,000 Euro per week salary.
