Man Utd tracking Everton Ribeiro
Man Utd tracking Everton Ribeiro
Man Utd manager wants to sign Brazilian 24-year-old full back Everton Ribeiro in the January transfer window. The player's agent has confirmed that talks are already under way with the Red Devils regarding a potential transfer.
The player, who is comfortable playing at left full back or as a left attacking midfielder, has attracted the interest of Manchester United after a series of stunning performances for Cruzeiro. United were reportedly tracking Everton Ribeiro whilst he played for his former club Coritiba, but the player instead decided to stay in his homeland and rejected a move to Europe.
With the long term future of current first choice left defender Patrice Evra uncertain, Manchester United are scouring the transfer market for a potential replacement.
Ribeiro's agent, Robson Ferreira, told reporters: "Manchester United want him. David Moyes has been impressed. I’ve already been to England and talked personally with them. In United’s opinion, he is the complete midfielder."
