Chelsea forward Samuel Eto'o heading to MLS next season
Cameroon international striker Samuel Eto'o will complete a transfer from Chelsea to the USA at the end of this season. Once the World Cup is over, the Blues' striker is expected to quit the Premier League.
Once one of the world's most feared strikers, Eto'o has struggled to adjust to life at Stamford Bridge and is fast heading for a move away from the club. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has no plans to offer the player a fresh contract at the Bridge, and told Eto'o that he can consider a move elsewhere.
Amongst the teams all desperate to sign the player include the New York Red Bulls, who are dreaming of a partnership of Thierry Henry and Eto'o, whilst Toronto are also considering a transfer.
