Manchester United are considered to have sent scouts to check on the progress of 18-year-old Dinamo Bucharest starlet Dorian Rotariu, ahead of a January move for the player.

The Red Devils manager David Moyes is expected to add plenty of youth talent in his stint with the club, and could sign the talented winger during the New Year, with the likes of Nani and Antonio Valencia having fallen out of favour with the Premier League champions.

The player's agent, Victor Becali has revealed that his client is being monitored by a number of top sides in Europe.

"They watch young players these days. It may be Rotariu is being watched by several clubs. The player has been wanted for a long period of time," He said. "They take everything into account; they see if a football player fits the profile of the country, they see what kind of man he is and what kind of character he has.

"Discussions have not started yet. If they do, it will be during the transfer window."

Rotariu has amassed six goals for Dinamo Bucharest in all competitions this season.
