Gerrard insists on result
Steven Gerrard is relieved and grateful for the Euro 2008 lifeline handed to England by Israel. However, the Liverpool captain has insisted that England must fight and get a result that sees them qualify for Euro 2008.
A draw is all England need on Wednesday against Croatia, and Gerrard has said: "We have been given another chance and that has to motivate every player on Wednesday evening," urged Gerrard, stand-in skipper in the absence of John Terry.
"Everyone must give everything to try to be there next summer.
"If we don't get there it will be so frustrating and we have to make sure we have the right mentality on Wednesday.
"Since we lost the game in Russia it has been difficult to be an England player to be honest."
