West Ham boss Allardyce eyes Lescott transfer
West Ham want to sign Joleon Lescott from Manchester City in the January transfer window. The defender is set to quit the Etihad Stadium in search of regular first team football.
After West Ham slumped to a shock 5-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup this afternoon, the Hammers have now decided to bring in a new centre back to plug the holes in their leaky defence.
It is understood that the Hammers will make a bid for Man City and England international Joleon Lescott.
Allardyce confirmed his intentions to make a move for the player after the 5-0 defeat, telling reporters: "I don't know if Joleon is available, but if it is possible I would like to get him."
