Alderweireld not happy at Atletico

Atletico Madrid central defender Toby Alderweireld has come out and said that he is not happy the club. The Belgian only moved to Spain but has not been able to displaced Diego Godin and Miranda from the first team.

The 24 year old has made only 10 appearances out of a possible 30 since moving to Vicente Calderon in the summer.

This is what the former Ajax player told Dutch television,

I miss Ajax, the style of play, my former teammates,; Alderweireld said.

I can,t be 100 percent happy at Atleti because I’m not playing.

“The team is going well and I'll continue fighting for my place but I don’t think I’m at fault.”

FIFA regulations prevent a player from appearing for three clubs in a single season so Alderwireld can only return to Ajax and the club are willing to let him go should they get in a replacement.
