Stoke City keen on signing Lee Cattermole
Stoke City are understood to be keen on landing the services of Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole before the conclusion of the transfer window.
Sunderland had earlier claimed that Cattermole was not interested in a move away from the Wearside during this month, but the Potters have made an improved bid to tempt the Black Cats in letting go of their hard tackler.
Sky Sports reports that Stoke could sign the player before the 11pm transfer deadline, following Sunderland's capture of Liam Bridcutt from Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 25-year-old has made over 100 appearances for the Black Cats.
