Alan Shearer is surprised by the rumours that he is being lined up to make a shock return to football - managing England. The ex Newcastle striker has been placed as one of the favorites by several bookmakers.
The 37-year-old said in the Gazette: "I'm surprised as anyone to see my name up there.
"I've taken my coaching badges and my A and B licences and management does interest me at some stage.
"But when that is don't know. Right now I'm happy with what I'm doing as a pundit for the BBC."
According to latest standings in betting markets, former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is the first choice while Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill and Former Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello follow with ex-striker Shearer in fourth place.
