Chelsea eye move for Mario Mandzukic

Chelsea are understood to be keen on signing Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic during the summer transfer window.

The Guardian reports that the Blues boss Jose Mourinho is keen on signing a top-class striker in the summer and considers the Croatian international as one of the options for the role.

Mandzukic, who has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United during the winter transfer window, is likely to leave the Bavarian outfit at the end of the season, following the signing of Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund on a pre-contract in January.

The 27-year-old has notched up 18 goals in 30 games for the Bundesliga giants this season.
