Roma to make a bid for Newcastle star Debuchy

Roma will make a 9 million Euro bid for Mathieu Debuchy. The Newcastle defender is expected to make a transfer away from the Premier League to Italy having indicated to his agent that he wants to leave St James' Park.

Debuchy only joined from Lille just under a year ago and is now expected to transfer away from his current club already.

With Newcastle expecting a very busy transfer window after club owner Mike Ashley promised a large transfer kitty, Debuchy could be sold as part of a squad overhaul.

Debuchy had already attracted the interest of Juventus two months ago as the Turin side made a reported enquiry for the Frenchman ahead of the January transfer window.
