Man City to bid for Everton starlet?

Manchester City are reportedly ready to make a summer move for Everton midfield sensation Ross Barkley, according to The Express.

The talented England international has been in excellent form for the Toffees throughout the current campaign and could play a vital role in the national's side progress in this summer's World Cup finals in Brazil.

The Express claims that the Citizens are determined to sign the 20-year-old in a bid to meet the requirement of having atleast eight home-grown players in the 25-man squad in the Premier League.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini will look to sell off some of the club's English players which include Micah Richards, Joleon Lescott, Scott Sinclair, Jack Rodwell, in order to add new recruits for the next season.
