Gerard Deulofeu to stay at Everton on loan next season

Barcelona forward Gerard Deulofeu has reportedly agreed to stay at Everton on loan next season, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

The 20-year-old was expected to return to the Catalan giants at the end of the current campaign, following reports that the club had been given a year-long transfer ban.

 

However, with their transfer ban scrapped pending the outcome of an appeal, there is no urgent need for the La Liga club to bring back their loaned-out players.

 

Spanish newspaper AS claims that the Toffees have agreed a deal in principle with Barca, which would keep the talented Spaniard at Goodison Park for another season.

 

Everton are currently 5th in the Premier League, one point adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal.
