Chelsea tracking Carlos Gruezo
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has instructed one of his scouts to prepare a full dossier on Ecuadorian international youngster Carlos Gruezo. The defensive midfielder will be a part of his national team's squad at the World Cup.
The 19-year-old came through the ranks at his youth club Independiente before making a move to Ecuadorian giants Barcelona SC. German club VfB Stuttgart spotted the 5 foot 7 midfielder in action and immediately wrapped up a 1.9 million Euro move for the player. Since moving to Germany in January, Gruezo has already played regularly for VfB and many pundits have tipped him for greatness.
The gifted youngster has been identified by Chelsea as a hot prospect and the West London club are already working to engineer a transfer to England for the midfielder.
With VfB Stuttgart now valuing the player at around 10 million Euros, Chelsea will need to spend big to secure Gruezo's signature.
