Gary Cahill excited by World Cup challenge
England international Gary Cahill has expressed his happiness over playing for England in this summer's World Cup finals in Brazil.
The talented Chelsea centre-back will play in his first major tournament, having missed on Euro 2012 with a fractured jaw.
Cahill, who will likely be playing alongside Everton's Phil Jagielka in the central defensive position, has said that he is enjoying the prospect of playing as a regular for the Three Lions.
"I feel a lot more experienced," Cahill said."I feel I know the role a lot better, I feel that I'm kind of accepted on this stage and I still want to keep learning and pushing forward.
"Since I've come to Chelsea I've enjoyed it, it's gone really well for me, and I can't get wait to get started in my first major competition with England, which will be very exciting."
Cahill has been capped 23 times by the Three Lions.
