Manchester United consider mega-bid for Liverpool superstar

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a club-record bid for the services of Liverpool star Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan international had been in top form all throughout last season, and has been associated with a switch to Real Madrid in recent weeks.

In spite of the 27-year-old suggesting that he will remain with the Reds as they embark on Champions League football next season, it has not stopped transfer speculation surrounding the star striker.

According to Sport, the Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal will make a transfer offer of around £65m for Suarez, as he aims to find the perfect strike partner for Robin van Persie.

Suarez scored 31 goals in the Premier League last season.
