Cardiff reject initial Gunners offer

Championship side Cardiff City have reportedly rebuffed an opening offer from Arsenal for their star goalkeeper David Marshall, according to The Mail.

The talented goalie had an excellent debut season in the Premier League, but his performances were not fruitful enough to keep the Bluebirds in the Premier League.

The Mail claims that the North London club have made an initial offer worth 6 million pounds for the Scotland international, but the Welsh outfit knocked back the proposal from the FA Cup champions.

Manager Arsene Wenger is believed to be keen on finding a top-class goalkeeper to provide stiff competition to number one Wojciech Szczesny.
