Chelsea plot swoop for Alex Song

Chelsea are reportedly set to capture the signature of yet another Barcelona star in Alex Song this summer, according to Metro.

The Blues secured their first signing of the summer in Cesc Fabregas for 30 million pounds on Wednesday, following weeks of speculation on the Spaniard's future at the Catalan giants.

Metro claims that manager Jose Mourinho is keen on signing a holding midfielder in the summer transfer window, and consider the former Gunner as the perfect choice to replace John Obi Mikel, who is likely to leave Stamford Bridge.

Song has failed to cement his place in the Barca setup, and is understood to be seeking a return to the Premier League.
